Tom Barton is a seasoned technology executive with a 30-year history of leadership positions with Silicon Valley technology companies. Notable successes include Interim CEO of Cygnus Solutions (an early leader in open source dev tools, acquired by Red Hat); CEO of Rackable Systems (which he took public in 2005; the company later acquired SGI and was ultimately acquired by HPE); and COO of Planet Labs during its first production satellite launches and initial commercial growth. Tom holds a BA, a BS, and an MBA from Stanford University.

Karthik Govindhasamy is an accomplished technology executive with 25 years of leadership experience in both public and private multinational companies. Previously, as a COO of Diamanti, Karthik led the successful execution of cloud vision for the company, and as a CTO & EVP of Engineering for Planet Labs, launched 100+ satellites, created next generation spacecraft, data and analytic platform. Karthik was Head of Engineering for Nokia’s Connected Devices where he successfully launched Nokia’s first Windows tablet for worldwide distribution, and at Microsoft, and he led the development of the Surface product line. Karthik holds MS EE from Southern Illinois University.


Shankar Sivaprakasam

Shankar Sivaprakasam

Shankar is an infotech and space-tech executive with MNCs and startups experience. He spent his early career in product development, business and technical consulting, and later in strategic transactions, sales and general management. Shankar held several leadership roles at Hewlett-Packard for over a decade. He later was at OpenText and instrumental in the success of its analytics business in its formative days. Shankar came to work in space-tech with Planet Labs. Since leaving Planet, he has founded a downstream space startup. He was last at an innovative Kubernetes appliance startup, Diamanti, where he led the company’s multiple OEM relationships and its early SaaS commercialisation. Shankar holds a B.Tech in CS&E from IIT Kanpur, India, and an EMBA from UTS, Australia.
